Bournemouth to beat Coventry @ 13/20
The Cherries are back on track to make the Championship play-offs following a hat-trick of league wins over Swansea, Middlesbrough and Blackburn, scoring eight goals in those games and conceding only one. Jonathan Woodgate was pleased with an ‘ugly’ 2-0 victory at Ewood Park on Monday, stating: “It was a professional performance. We can play better at times but it’s a sign of a good team when you can grind out results and I thought we did that.” Coventry have only picked up two points from their last seven away matches.
Portsmouth to beat Burton @ 7/10
Pompey have climbed up to fourth in League One thanks to a run of four straight victories and really look to have been rejuvenated since Danny Cowley was brought in to replace Kenny Jackett. Cowley felt Monday’s 1-0 triumph at Wigan was a tired performance following the Easter double header but five days off should be enough to now regroup and go again. They have already beaten Burton 4-2 at Pirelli Stadium earlier this season, when Marcus Harness hit a hat-trick.
Accrington to beat Wimbledon @ 5/4
Stanley kept alive their slim hopes of making the League One play-offs when securing a spirited 2-1 success away to Oxford, with defender Michael Nottingham’s long-range strike in the 70th minute well worth deciding any contest. Wimbledon are coming off a couple of 1-0 defeats versus Plymouth and Fleetwood, which has put them back in the bottom three, so a home win here is the form pick for our football accumulator tips.
Cheltenham to beat Leyton Orient @ 17/20
The Robins remained on course to secure automatic promotion from League Two when picking up four points over Easter, thumping Tranmere 4-0 at Whaddon Road before coming from behind for a hard-fought draw at Grimsby. Orient have been in decent form themselves and could still go up via the play-offs but Cheltenham have won four of their last five home matches and may just prove too strong for the O’s on this occasion.
Bolton to beat Harrogate @ 21/20
Wanderers were rated a touch unfortunate to end their 14-match unbeaten run with a 1-0 defeat at Newport, where leading marksman Eoin Doyle hit the bar early on and team-mate Keiron Lee had two good chances. Hopefully, Bolton can quickly put that behind them and get back to the form which brought 11 wins and three draws since previously losing in January. The Trotters have already beaten Harrogate away this term and are not out of the League Two title race after recovering superbly from a terrible start to the season.
