Manchester City put their derby defeat behind them with a nice Champions League win in midweek and are fancied to prove too strong for Arsenal once more.
The Blues have come out on top in the last five meetings between these teams, although the Gunners may have their moments this time after impressing at West Ham on Monday and then drawing 2-2 at Standard Liege in the Europa League.
We’re snapping up 27/20 for an away win and both teams to score for our initial Arsenal vs Man City prediction.
A Look At Arsenal’s Betting Odds
Arsenal ended a run of seven Premier League games without a win when coming from behind to beat the Hammers 3-1 at London Stadium.
Their miserable run of results looked set to continue when trailing at the break.
However, Gabriel Martinelli, Nicolas Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang turned things around in a nine-minute blitz from the hour mark.
Caretaker boss Freddie Ljungberg said: “First half we were slow, a bit lethargic and didn’t move or run, but that comes when players are low and have no confidence, because you don’t do the things you need to.
“It has been hard, but I felt ‘give it a go second half’ and it was amazing for me to see.
“You saw West Ham get a bit tired around the 60th minute and we sliced them open and played some really good football.”
That victory did come at a cost, though, with Hector Bellerin (hamstring), Granit Xhaka (concussion), Kieran Tierney (shoulder) and Pepe (knee) picking up injuries.
Looking at the Arsenal vs Man City odds, we like 19/2 for a 3-1 away win.
Last Arsenal EPL line-up: Leno, Tierney, Sokratis, Chambers, Ozil, Torreira, Maitland-Niles, Xhaka, Martinelli, Aubameyang, Pepe.
Rob Holding (knee) and Danny Ceballos (hamstring) will miss out for the Gunners.
A Look At Manchester City’s Betting Odds
City have had defensive issues all season and were repeatedly torn apart on the break by neighbours United in a 2-1 derby defeat, their fourth league loss of the campaign.
However, they are still great to watch going forward when on song and that setback came in between a couple of cracking 4-1 wins on the road at Burnley and Dinamo Zagreb.
Gabriel Jesus, standing in for the injured Sergio Aguero, scored five times in those victories, including a hat-trick in Croatia on Tuesday night.
“It’s special,” the Brazil striker told BT Sport. “When I was young, I’d think about the Champions League. I wanted to play, I wanted to score, I wanted the ball.
“Last month, I was not scoring and I felt so bad because I have to score and help my team-mates.
“Now the goals are coming, so I’m so happy, but I cannot stop – I have to keep scoring.”
Jesus is 7/2 to break the deadlock at Emirates Stadium and that completes our Arsenal vs Man City betting tips.
Last Man City EPL line-up: Ederson, Walker, Stones, Angelino, Rodri, De Bruyne, B Silva, D Silva, Fernandinho, Sterling, Jesus.
City will again be without record goalscorer Aguero (thigh) and defender John Stones (hamstring). Playmaker David Silva is also doubtful.
Goalkeeper Ederson should be available again after illness but defender Aymeric Laporte and winger Leroy Sane (both knee) are long-term absentees.
Standard Liege 2-2 ARSENAL – Alexandre Lacazette, Bukayo Saka
Dinamo Zagreb 1-4 MAN CITY – Gabriel Jesus (3), Phil Foden
Head-to-head: Man City 3-1 Arsenal, Arsenal 0-2 Man City, Arsenal 0-3 Man City, Arsenal 0-3 Man City, Man City 3-1 Arsenal
