Scotland are unbeaten in World Cup qualifying Group F with five points from three games but will be stretched when visiting Denmark.
The Danes rattled off a hat-trick of wins in this pool back in March before earning plenty of new admirers for their Euro 2020 heroics.
We like 23/10 for a home win by any one-goal margin for our first Denmark vs Scotland prediction.
A Look At Denmark’s Betting Odds
Denmark kicked off their campaign with a nice 2-0 victory in Israel before thrashing Moldova 8-0, with Kasper Dolberg and Mikkel Damsgaard both bagging doubles.
Kasper Hjulmand’s side then enjoyed a cracking 4-0 triumph over a decent Austria outfit in Vienna, including a double for Skov Olsen.
The Danes started out at Euro 2020 with a dramatic 1-0 defeat versus Finland, which featured Christian Eriksen’s horrible collapse.
An early exit looked on the cards when Belgium came from behind to beat them 2-1 but the story was far from over.
Denmark sneaked through their pool via a 4-1 win over Russia before crushing Wales 4-0 and seeing off Czech Republic 2-1 to reach the semis.
Damsgaard’s stunning strike put them ahead against England but the Three Lions rallied to prevail 2-1 in extra time.
Eriksen is still sidelined and losing Jannik Vestergaard to injury is a blow but this settled squad, captained by Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel, still looks rock solid.
Denmark led at half-time in four straight outings at Euro 2020 and were only pegged back versus England by an own goal.
Looking at the Denmark vs Scotland odds, they are 6/5 to be in front at the break and full-time here.
A Look At Scotland’s Betting Odds
Scotland’s first appearance at a major tournament since 1998 did not go to plan, even if a goalless draw away to England prompted wild celebrations.
Either side of that game, the Scots were beaten 2-0 by Czech Republic and 3-1 by Croatia on home turf at Hampden Park.
Steve Clarke’s side had previously done okay in this competition, drawing with Austria and Israel before a 4-0 thumping of Faroe Islands.
Injuries and Covid issues have hampered preparations for this contest, though.
Midfielders Scott McTominay and Stuart Armstrong were already ruled out and they were joined on the injured list by Celtic duo James Forrest and Greg Taylor.
Rangers right-back Nathan Patterson and Aston Villa’s John McGinn have also been sidelined by Covid restrictions.
Clarke said: “Two years into my international career, it has probably been the most disruptive camp in terms of call-offs, which is disappointing.
“But I think I have enough in the current group to go to Denmark and hopefully get the result we all want.
“It is what it is, we deal with it, I am sure other nations are having similar problems…we will get a team on the pitch who will be very competitive.”
We just feel the Danes will have the edge, though, and 5/1 for a 1-0 home win completes our Denmark vs Scotland betting tips.
England 2-1 DENMARK (AET) – Damsgaard
SCOTLAND 1-3 Croatia – McGregor
Head-to-head: Scotland 1-0 Denmark, Scotland 2-1 Denmark, Denmark 1-0 Scotland, Scotland 0-1 Denmark
