Football accumulator tips, Copa America

Brazil to win to nil vs Venezuela @ 8/15

The Selecao ended a 12-year wait for a South American title in 2019 when they conceded only one goal in the whole campaign – against Peru in the showpiece decider. Brazil are firm favourites again now they will enjoy home advantage once more and warmed up well with back-to-back 2-0 victories over Ecuador and Paraguay in World Cup qualifiers. Roberto Firmino’s second-half goal gave Tite’s side a 1-0 triumph over Venezuela in November and we’re banking on another clean-sheet success in our football accumulator tips.

Colombia vs Ecuador both teams to score @ 19/20

Los Cafeteros were on the receiving end of a 6-1 hammering by the same opponents in a World Cup qualifier last November but seem in much better shape now, judged on this month’s exploits in that competition. Colombia won 3-0 away to Peru, with Everton defender Yerry Mina on target, and then drew 2-2 with Argentina on home turf. Ecuador netted 13 times in three World Cup games last winter, though, and are coming off a 2-1 loss to Peru, so the omens look good for them to get on the scoresheet as well.

Argentina to beat Chile @ 8/13

These teams drew 1-1 in a World Cup qualifier recently, with Lionel Messi converting a 23rd-minute penalty and Alexis Sanchez levelling 13 minutes later. La Albiceleste looked the better team overall, though, leading 7-1 in the shots on target department, with Messi having one free-kick well saved by Chile goalkeeper Claudio Bravo and then hitting the bar with another set-piece late on. PSG duo Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes, plus Inter Milan ace Lautaro Martinez, make Argentina a formidable force going forward.

Paraguay to beat Bolivia @ 4/7

Los Guaranies La Albirroja also have Argentina, Uruguay and Chile for company in the south zone so, with four teams going through, they will see this as a pivotal clash. Paraguay have advanced to the quarter-finals or further at nine of the last 11 Copa Americas and have a couple of useful forwards in Miguel Almiron of Newcastle and Angel Romero, as well as West Ham defender Fabian Balbuena. Bolivia are the 81st-ranked side in the world and seven of their last eight campaigns have ended at the group stage.
