Crystal Palace and Manchester United were both involved in goalless stalemates over the weekend but tend to put on entertaining encounters when they get together.

Their last four head-to-head Premier League meetings have produced 13 successful strikes, including the Eagles’ shock 3-1 win at Old Trafford in September.

We’re snapping up 8/11 for over 2.5 goals to be scored in this contest for our first Crystal Palace vs Man Utd prediction.

A Look At Crystal Palace’s Betting Odds

Even the most ardent of Palace supporters will consider Roy Hodgson’s side fortunate to come out of their last couple of games with four points.

After somehow snatching a 2-1 win at Brighton against the run of play, the Eagles survived 16 attempts on goal when sharing the spoils with Fulham here.

Hodgson, after his 150th match in charge of the club, said: “We certainly didn’t set out to involve ourselves in a game where the opposition had as much of the ball as they did and were asking questions of us that they did.

“We set out to make it a very even game but credit to Fulham it didn’t happen and when it wasn’t happening, we had to make certain the weapons we had at our disposal were also brought to bear.

“The major weapon we had was the defensive shape and defensive organisation and desire of the players to make certain if we weren’t going to win the game, we weren’t going to lose it.”

Getting Wilfried Zaha back available to figure against his former club after three games out with a muscle injury would be a huge boost.

However, Hodgson was also without James McArthur, Mamadou Sakho, Jeffrey Schlupp, James Tomkins and Nathaniel Clyne against the Cottagers.

Such individuals will be sorely missed versus this stiffer opposition, with United having come out on top on each of their last four visits to this venue.

The hosts have netted in all of those matches, though, so 21/10 for an away win and both teams to score takes the eye from the Crystal Palace vs Man Utd odds.

Last Palace line-up: Guaita, Ward, Van Aanholt, Cahill, Milivojevic, Kouyate, Townsend, Eze, Riedewald, Ayew, Benteke.

A Look At Manchester United’s Betting Odds

United are unbeaten in 13 Premier League away games following a cagey contest at Chelsea which featured few chances.

Although tough to watch at times, that drab draw did at least provide us with a trio of successful selections.

The Red Devils are winless in seven meetings with their fellow ‘big six’ sides this season, scoring just one goal in those matches.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were aggrieved not to have been awarded a penalty when Callum Hudson-Odoi was eventually judged not to have deliberately handled the ball under a challenge from Mason Greenwood.

However, David De Gea insisted that United must develop a ruthless edge in order to end this season with silverware.

“I think that the draw is fine, but if we want to do something good and we want to win trophies and win the league, we have to beat these teams,” he told the club website.

“We didn’t have many chances, we didn’t create too much. The last pass was what we missed. We created good counter-attacks but at the end the last pass wasn’t the best option.”

No top-flight team has scored more away goals than the visitors, though, so clearly they do cut loose when travelling to face lesser outfits.

Marcus Rashford has netted six of his nine Premier League goals away from Old Trafford, with the England ace punishing three of the bottom five teams.

The Eagles are further up the table in 13th but seem to be playing more like a relegation-threatened side in general action.

Let’s finish off our Crystal Palace vs Man Utd betting tips by taking 25/1 for Rashford to break the deadlock in a 2-1 away win.

Last Man Utd line-up: De Gea, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, Wan-Bissaka, Fred, Fernandes, James, McTominay, Rashford, Greenwood.
