Manchester United have a decent record in recent derby clashes but are hard to fancy when facing City at Etihad Stadium this weekend.

The Red Devils are coming off three drab goalless draws, whereas their neighbours are on the crest of a wave following 21 straight wins in all competitions.

We can’t see past 17/10 for a home win to nil as our first Man City vs Man Utd prediction.

A Look At Manchester City’s Betting Odds

City are 14 points clear at the Premier League summit after a late flourish saw them see off Wolves 4-1 here on Tuesday.

An early own goal was cancelled out when Conor Coady struck with Wanderers’ first attempt in the 61st minute.

However, Gabriel Jesus bagged a brace either side of Riyad Mahrez’s effort in the closing stages to keep City’s incredible winning run going.

“We controlled it quite well, except for five minutes,” said Pep Guardiola. “We created chances.

“At 1-1, the players felt how unfair it was, after everything we had done, the first shot on target.

“But it is a good lesson…because opponents in a high level have good players up front and they don’t need much to punish you.”

City have actually conceded a consolation goal in four of their last six league victories, but we’re expecting them to be fully focused on United’s counter-attacking threat here.

Looking at the Man City vs Man Utd odds, there is plenty of appeal in 15/2 for a professional 2-0 triumph.

Last City line-up: Ederson, Walker, Dias, Laporte, Cancelo, Silva, Rodri, De Bruyne, Mahrez, Jesus, Sterling.

A Look At Manchester United’s Betting Odds

United have had some promising spells this season but everything seems to have fallen flat at just the wrong time for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

To be fair, the Red Devils were already all but through when drawing 0-0 at home to Real Sociedad in the Europa League and it would be harsh to criticise a repeat of that result at Chelsea.

However, United put in a dire display when dropping two more points at Crystal Palace in midweek, with both teams struggling to string passes together, never mind trouble opposing keepers.

Solskjaer said: “Of course, you are not happy if you don’t create enough chances to win a game. It has been a week with no goals.

“Sometimes, three games sounds a lot without scoring, of course we have not conceded either, but a week in a season like this sometimes you just don’t hit the form you normally have had for many, many months.

“It is a bit of a worry, of course it is, but I know that the boys are giving everything.

“We play every three days, I know they are giving everything they have got. Attitude and approach, I am very happy with. The quality we need to get back to what we know we can do.”

Listening to Solskjaer, it is hard to have confidence in him coming up with a solution to technical problems.

David De Gea (personal reasons) and Anthony Martial (knee) were absent in the capital, while even Bruno Fernandes cut a forlorn and frustrated figure.

United have claimed three wins and a draw from the last six derbies, but failed to find the back of the net in two meetings this term.

Let’s finish off our Man City vs Man Utd betting tips by taking 29/10 for the Red Devils to be 1-0 down at the break here.

Last United line-up: Henderson, Bailly, Maguire, Shaw, Wan-Bissaka, Fred, Fernandes, Matic, Cavani, Rashford, Greenwood.
