Kick-off: 1945, 15/08/2019

Stadium: Ibrox

Rangers were really impressive going forward when beating Midtjylland 4-2 away and can do the double over the Danes in this Europa League qualifier.

Steven Gerrard’s side have been in rampant form up front so far this season and the manager will be keen to maintain that momentum at Ibrox.

We like 27/20 for a home win and over 2.5 goals in the game for our initial Rangers vs Midtjylland prediction.

A Look At Rangers’ Betting Odds

Rangers looked totally dominant as they raced into a 3-0 lead in Denmark via goals from Alfredo Morelos, Joe Aribo and Nikola Katic.

Some sloppy defending allowed Frank Onyeka and Sory Kaba to reply for Midtjylland, but Scott Arfield settled any nerves when calmly slotting home.

A delighted Gerrard told Rangers TV: “We were very close to a perfect performance.

“Obviously, we have conceded a couple of goals but we stood up to the physical presence and some of the goals we scored were fantastic, so I have nothing but praise for my players.

“We did have a bit of a wobble but we have come away from home, scored four goals and had some outstanding individual performances.”

Rangers followed up that performance by hitting Hibs for six at this venue and they really do seem to be on a roll right now.

Looking at the Rangers vs Midtjylland odds, we think 3/2 for the hosts to lead at half-time and full-time again has obvious appeal.

A Look At Midtjylland’s Betting Odds

Midtjylland are going great guns in their domestic top flight, rattling off a fifth straight Superligaen success when winning 2-0 at AC Horsens on Sunday.

However, we highlighted before the first leg that they do not tend to transfer that form to the European arena, having lost out to Osmanlispor, Apollon Limassol, Astana and Malmo in recent years.

It remains to be seen how Kenneth Anderson will approach this trip, as qualifying for the next phase now looks a forlorn hope.

However, the visitors do have a strong physical presence and that will always make them dangerous.

Gers boss Gerrard admitted: “You can see their set-piece threat and they have technicians that can hurt you.”

Let’s back the visitors to grab a consolation goal at Ibrox and finish off our Rangers vs Midtjylland betting tips by taking 23/2 for a 3-1 home win.
