Kick-off: 1945, 15/08/2019

Stadium: Molineux

Wolves can afford to ease off when hosting Pyunik in the second leg of their Europa League qualifier, having already come back from Armenia with a 4-0 advantage.

Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo could now be forgiven for having one eye on Monday’s Premier League clash with Manchester United ahead of the return fixture.

With that in mind, we’re going for the Midlands outfit to prevail 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0 at 14/5 for our initial Wolves vs Pyunik prediction.

A Look At Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Betting Odds

Wolves marked their return to European football for the first time since 1980 with a 6-1 aggregate victory over Northern Irish side Crusaders and produced another dominant display in Yerevan.

Matt Doherty broke the deadlock before Raul Jimenez scored twice, with all of those goals set up by Diogo Jota.

Ruben Neves then put the icing on the cake with an injury-time penalty after £16million summer signing Patrick Cutrone was brought down.

However, chances were few and far between when Wolves drew 0-0 at Leicester on domestic duty three days later, even if Wanderers were unlucky to have Leander Dendoncker’s second-half strike ruled out by VAR.

That game highlighted how being involved in the Europa League will take its toll and Nuno does have to manage his squad to make sure their Premier League form doesn’t suffer.

“For us as a football club, the games we have coming up is incredible,” said captain Conor Coady. “We have Europe on Thursday and Manchester United on Monday.

“What more do you want for a football club? We are excited for it and will make sure we are ready for it.”

Such enthusiasm may be tempered by squad rotations, though, and 333/100 for Wanderers to only lead 1-0 at half-time takes the eye from the Wolves vs Pyunik odds.

A Look At FC Pyunik’s Betting Odds

Pyunik had previously upset the odds by beating Macedonian club Shkupi 5-4 on aggregate and Jablonec of the Czech Republic 2-1.

The visitors are managed by 64-year-old Aleksandr Tarkhanov, a former head coach of CSKA Moscow and assistant to the Russian national team, so this shouldn’t be a ragged bunch.

Wolves boss Nuno said of the opening encounter: “Pyunik started strong, pressing, high intensity, it was important to keep the shape and we managed well the game. We did a good performance.”

His attention to detail should ensure another smooth success, but Pyunik may be able to keep the score down if showing less attacking ambition at Molineux.

Let’s finish off our Wolves vs Pyunik betting tips by taking 27/4 for a 3-0 home victory.
