Rangers were forced to concede defeat to Celtic in the Scottish Premiership title race again this term but have held their own in Old Firm encounters.
After losing the opening derby 1-0, Steven Gerrard’s side then prevailed by the same scoreline and were a touch unlucky to be beaten 2-1 at the end of March.
With home advantage back in their favour here, the Light Blues appeal at 19/10 for another face-saving success in our initial Rangers vs Celtic prediction.
A Look At Rangers’ Betting Odds
Rangers had Alfredo Morelos sent off on the half-hour mark when losing narrowly in a bad-tempered contest at Parkhead six weeks ago.
Since then, they have rattled off five straight victories, with 12 goals scored in those fixtures and only one conceded.
Last weekend’s 1-0 triumph over Hibs was marred by the late dismissal of veteran keeper Allan McGregor, Rangers’ 12th red card of the season in all competitions.
“Our discipline problem is probably the reason why we are not talking about success and are talking about falling short,” said Gerrard.
“This game is hard enough with 11. You need to be disciplined and keep your best players on the pitch.
“The players are not helping themselves, but I’m running out of things to do to address it.”
However, Jermain Defoe put in another professional display at the other end of the pitch, bagging the decisive goal to make it eight in 18 games for the club.
If the likes of Ryan Kent and Morales can follow the example set by the former England striker, Gerrard’s men can compete with anyone in this league.
Looking at the Rangers vs Celtic odds, we also like 11/10 for the hosts to oblige in the ‘draw no bet’ market.

Celtic still set a strong standard north of the border, though, having clinched their eighth successive title with a 3-0 win at Aberdeen.
Mikael Lustig, Jozo Simunovic and Odsonne Edouard were on target at Pittodrie, as Neil Lennon extended his unbeaten run to 11 games since filling the void left by Brendan Rodgers’ departure.
“We had been due to give someone a good going over and unfortunately for Aberdeen it was them,” declared Lennon.
“Once we got the breakthrough, we were in total control for the second half and it was a great way to finish off the league win.
“The mentality of the team is so strong and the quality of football at times was breathtaking.”
However, it hasn’t all been plain sailing for Lennon during his second spell in charge, with the Northern Irishman admitting: “Some of the performances weren’t great.”
Goalless draws against the Dons, Livingston and Hibs highlight how the Hoops have become sloppy at times.
We’re hoping Gerrard can find a way to exploit that, without firing his players up too much!
Let’s finish off our Rangers vs Celtic betting tips by taking 10/1 for a 2-1 home victory.

Aberdeen 0-3 CELTIC – Mikael Lustig, Jozo Simunovic, Odsonne Edouard
