Wolves enjoyed a European adventure last season but now it is West Ham who are hoping to qualify for continental competition.

The Hammers spent the international break sitting pretty in fifth but they have several teams breathing down their necks.

That should ensure a positive approach from the visitors and we’re backing an away win at 6/4 as our opening Wolves vs West Ham prediction.

A Look At Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Betting Odds

Wolves have failed to hit the heights of recent seasons and a poor run of results could see them face a nervy end to the campaign.

Relegation should not be an issue with upcoming games against Fulham, Sheffield United, Burnley, West Brom and Brighton providing plenty of realistic opportunities to pick up the points they need.

Before that, though, they face the Hammers, who condemned them to their joint-heaviest defeat of the season so far in September.

Wolves were on the receiving end of a 4-0 thrashing at the London Stadium, with a Jarrod Bowen brace putting the hosts in control before a Raul Jimenez own goal and a Sebastian Haller strike completed the rout.

Most of their matches are cagey affairs. Three late goals condemned them to a 4-1 loss at Manchester City last month but six of their last 10 games have produced no more than one goal.

That suggests under 1.5 goals is a value pick at 8/5 in the Wolves vs West Ham odds.

Last Wolves line-up: Rui Patricio, Boly, Coady, Jonny, Semedo, Neves, Saiss, Moutinho, Neto, Willian Jose, Traore.

A Look At West Ham United’s Betting Odds

West Ham had a tough run of fixtures prior to the international break but remain in a strong position heading into their final nine matches.

Defeats at Manchester City and Manchester United were no disgrace but the 2-0 win against Leeds was impressive and the Hammers looked set to claim a fourth successive home victory when they went 3-0 up against Arsenal, only to be pegged back to 3-3.

Boss David Moyes said: “We played really well for about 30 minutes, about as well as we’ve played for a while, but unfortunately we gave a goal away before half-time that changes the game a bit.

“But Arsenal played well and made it difficult in the second half. It’s disappointing not to take three points but we’ve given Arsenal a game and challenged them until the end.

“What we’ve done is make sure we are keeping going. We want to go as long as we can and keep the dream alive.”

West Ham have been relatively consistent against the weaker teams in the Premier League this season.

Against teams in the bottom half at the start of the weekend, they have managed nine wins and four draws with their only defeat coming against Newcastle in the first match of the season.

Three of those victories were 1-0 and an away win by that score at 6/1 is our final Wolves vs West Ham prediction.

Last West Ham line-up: Fabianski, Cresswell, Coufal, Dawson, Diop, Rice, Lingard, Soucek, Benrahma, Bowen, Antonio.
